The 2nd annual Retail Insights Southeast Luncheon that our shopper marketing agency Theory House hosted this week delighted a crowd of more than 140 retail marketers from the area – a 20% jump in attendance over last year. Jocelyn Wong, CMO at Family Dollar, spoke candidly about the challenges she has faced in her first year at the company and she touched the audience with her empathetic view of the core Family Dollar shopper. The attendees also heard from Adam Bloom at Sonoco Packaging, Lyle Einstein from Google, Matt Tilley from MaxPoint and the event closed with an energetic presentation from Jon Luther from JJ's Red Hots.
I couldn't be more proud of the work our agency team delivered to make this such a successful event. And a note of gratitude also goes to our sponsors Classic, Sonoco and MaxPoint for supporting our efforts. When our Charlotte retail agency can program an event that rivals national conferences (Jocelyn is Keynote at the Shopper Marketing Expo in Chicago next month) I know we're doing something right. We have an absolute focus on building North America's next great retail brands and it is rewarding to see established brands like Coca-Cola, Clorox, Kraft and a whole host of others, stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us at Retail Insights Southeast.
